Why Not You?

So many people today talk and complain about the fact that they are not living their dream or making progress towards their life’s goals or do not have what they want in life because of what the city, the community, or better still the government did not, is not giving or doing for them. That they do not have a great education, better job, and are broke because government failed to give them. Some other groups complain that it is because they are of these skin colour or back ground, or because they are new to this part of the world or that they do not speak in perfect North American slang.

For some it is that I grew up without a father or mother, I grew up in this or that neighbourhood, I did not have a perfect childhood or grew up without any supportive role models. All the reasons these people have giving are all valid by their own perception through their personal actions. The strange thing about this way of looking at life is that, the same reasons they have giving as to why they do not have what they want or their life is not the way they want it, are the same reasons that are preventing them from going after, taking the necessary steps to having and becoming what the really are after in life.

Consider the alternative options:

- If the government did not give you a better education why not you start by signing up for with a community library and get a card which cost you nothing and educate yourself for free now with whatever knowledge or field of study of your choice?
- If you grew up in crime or drug infested part of the city why not you revitalize your/that neighbourhood, after all that is where you grew up or live?
- If you grew up in family that no one had ever had a university education, why not you become the first very first one to do so?
- If you grew you up with an abusive or without a father or mother, why not you decide to be a loving, caring and better father or mother yourself?.
- If your family are all fat and obese, why not you start exercising and become healthy, strong, lean, and full of vitality yourself?
- If your family is always talking about problems, why not you start talking of solutions instead?
- If you grew up in lack and poverty, why not you decide to create a life wealth and abundance for yourself and those you love and care about?
- If you work in a company that people have very low standards and are always late, why not you start living your life in high standards and be early?

Regardless of the circumstance or the conditions of your life or what you lack, did not have or get, it can all change if you decided to change it. Waiting for someone like the city, the government, your father or mother has not cut it for you yet. You can cut it for yourself the way you want and so will you have it the way you want. No matter what it is why not you become it?

Earning Money - Is it Value or the Hour?

In a free enterprise society who and what determines how much money we can earn in a given unit of time regardless of who you are, what you do, or the type of industry you are in? Do we get paid for the hour or the value that we generate through our craft?

There are several factors that will help us to clearly answer the above questions.

Value Creators

1. What you know: this includes your talent, skill, knowledge, specialization, and education.

2. Interpersonal skills: this also includes your level of confidence, personal appearance, and your ability to motivate and persuade others to understand you.
3. Experience: the more often you have achieved success and on large scales affecting hundreds, thousands or millions of people or businesses, the more valuable your work becomes.
4. Reputation: if your past employers say good things about you that helps, however if you bring about changes and impact an industry your value increases further.

When you look at these factors they lead us to ask, “what, and how much can one person produce in that giving unit of time”?

We then get paid or earn not by a giving work for an amount or unit of time but by the value that you generate or create in that unit of time. The notion that many people go around stating that “I make such and such per hour” is totally not true.

How much you earn is defined by how much value they have created in the unit of time or unit of work first, and second determines how much of that value they will receive in monetary terms.

We do not get paid by the hour, we get paid by the value we create or generate in the hour.

Shaping You Life with Self Influence

Self influence is your personal ability to marshal your resources take action and produce the result that you have self determined. There are two worlds, the inside word and the outside world. The inside world is the area where you have complete and unrelenting control, the area where all the power is, the area that if you become the master shaper, the director, the person in charge.

Start with influencing yourself by making the decision about what is it that you clearly want most in the world. In order to help that goal become a reality, the greater you have influence over yourself the more likely others will join and help you achieve that goal. You can not influence anyone else unless you have first influence your own self.

Secondly, you must influence yourself to break through your own barriers, fears, and limitations that stand on your way to achieving you goals. Those invisible forces are “silent killers” the steal our faith, take away our motivation and immobilize us.

No matter how much your parents, friend and family love you, if you do not influence yourself to look at every decision you will be taken away from your heart’s desire and at a later date you will need to correct the course set in motion.

The starting point, and your future, is in your own hands; influence is the tool that shapes your destiny. When you become your own greatest influencer, you will gain the capability to make your dreams a reality. It only happens when you have singled minded determination and focus. Choose to persist until what you want becomes a reality. You have the inner capability of creating and realizing the goals you want.

Limiting Beliefs - The Silent Killer

One of the primary destroyers of all dreams and people’s ability to follow through on their goals is what I call the silent killer. “Silent killers” are beliefs that do not support your ability to harness your inner forces and direct them towards the result you are after and where you want to go.

Beliefs are like life’s electrical current, they are the wires with which your life’s electrical force runs through. The way you are wired, for better or worse, determines how your life runs. Electrical appliances can only work if well trained engineers design and manufacture the correct amount of electricity flow through each switch and circuit. If the appliance is wired wrong; then it may not work, it could short circuit, or burn out, or have a short lifespan due to excessive stress on the components. Our lives are no different.

How have you been wired or who was the architect of your wiring?

The way you have been wired, consciously or unconsciously, has produced the quality of life you experience now. Good or bad, successful or unsuccessful, living in abundance or lack, insanely in love or lonely, joyful or frustrated. All of the circumstances you see with your eyes, and conscious mind, are results of what your wiring allowed you to be capable of creating and maintaining.

Our beliefs control every single behaviour and action we engage in. Therefore our beliefs are the underlying forces that control what we are willing to go for; what action to take or fail to take; and how much risk and commitment we are willing to exert. The outcome is seen in the results of our lives or the lack thereof. Yet most people live unconscious of how much they have created their own life. This is why beliefs can be a silent killer when wired in a limiting way.

When beliefs are wired poorly they set boundaries and barriers as to how much we can dream, conceive, and become. Our beliefs set the limit to how much of our talent, skill or ability we can use or even where we can use it. But more so, it also determines how much our craft is truly worth, what we deserve and the result we are capable of producing and so limits the quality of our lives and those around us.

Some things our belief system controls are our:
focus, diets, buying habits, dressing style, saving and spend tendencies, where exactly we live, how we should respond to situations, and how you treat others.

There are many ways to re-wire our limiting beliefs and the payoffs can be amazing. The starting point is your ability to recognize that where you are “short circuiting” and where the silent killers are at work in your life. Mind Set is one resource for helping you expertly change how you are programmed. Whatever direction you choose to go, know that it will take choice, clarity, and absolute dedication to see it through to the end.
The amazing news is that all of us have the capacity to be wired for having the best in every area in life. Choose a few areas to focus in on and begin rewiring. In time you will find that the “silent killers” loose their power over you and your perceptions, thoughts, emotions and actions will create a new life you’ve always wanted.
